Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Office Opening
Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Friday, June 11, 2021 – Self Shield USA will be joined by Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the opening of office space with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2490 Lee Boulevard, Suite 232 Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118 on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with remarks and ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
According to Mariko Lewis, “We are excited to serve the community by providing self-defense products to the community and businesses and fundraising opportunities to local organizations. Sadly, there is not a single day that women are not harassed physically or sexually in America. The best solution is self-defense, and our products are recognized as lawful self-defense. Our mission is to provide a sense of security and safety while helping businesses grow and keeping the community safe.”
Self Shield USA is a Northeast Ohio-based multi-service B2B company and e-commerce store that sells self-defense merchandise and offers business services to other self-defense companies around the United States. Self Shield USA was founded in 2019 by Mariko Lewis. Prior to Self Shield USA, she founded Pretty Defense in 2017 which catered specifically towards serving women who needed personal protection products. Self Shield USA is now the parent company of Pretty Defense and in 2020, Self Shield USA acquired My Pretty Defense, a self-defense company based out of Chicago, IL. Mariko Lewis is currently a Criminal Defense Investigator for the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s Office and holds a B.A., Criminology & Sociology from Cleveland State University and M.S., Justice Administration from Tiffin University.
